As a small, volunteer powered charity, Project Underdog Rescue relies completely on the generosity of our supporters, partners and donors. This policy outlines how and when we are able to provide refunds on donations. Due to the nature of charity donations Project Underdog Rescue are under no obligation to give refunds. If a donation is refunded, the associated tax receipt is no longer valid so it should be securely destroyed. Please note it is your responsibility to submit only correct receipts to the Australian Tax Office.
Online Donations
Thanks for choosing to give to Project Underdog Rescue – we wouldn’t be able to assist vulnerable animals without your support. Your tax-deductible online donation is simple, secure and makes a lasting impact on the lives of abandoned animals. As with any online transaction, we ask that you enter your details carefully when donating, including the dollar value and frequency of your donation. If you need a hand, feel free to contact us and our team can assist you.
Change of Mind
Once you have donated to Project Underdog Rescue we cannot give refunds if you change your mind. For this reason we ask that you make your decision to donate to us carefully.
Errors by Project Underdog Rescue
Should an error be made by Project Underdog Rescue, one of our representatives or our financial institution(s), we will process a refund as soon as possible when notification of the error is received via writing.
Donor Errors
If you’ve accidentally donated the wrong amount, rest assured we can help. While Project Underdog Rescue is under no obligation to refund donations made in error, we will always endeavour to fix any genuine errors (such as the amount donated) as soon as possible. Please note, Project Underdog Rescue does not offer refunds for a change of heart. It’s for this reason that we ask that you make your choice to donate carefully. Should an error in the donation amount be detected and a request for refund made after 60 days have expired, Project Underdog Rescue regrets that we are unable to issue a refund.
We will refund when:
- There was an error made by Project Underdog Rescue or one of our agents
- The donation was provided by a vulnerable person
- The donor entered the wrong amount (eg. $100 instead of $10)
Requests for refunds must be received in writing within 60 days from the date of the donation.
Project Underdog Rescue is a not-for-profit charity organisation and we reserve the right to deduct any bank or transaction charges for any refund processed onto the donor.
