Dog Adoption Application Thanks so much for expressing interest in adopting one of our dogs. Adopting a pet is a very exciting time but it's also a big commitment so please be sure you're absolutely ready and prepared for a new addition before proceeding with the application. Please read through the information below carefully before submitting your application. REQUIREMENTS Applicants must be located in Metropolitan Melbourne ADOPTION PROCESS Apply: Complete an adoption application form. Please note it could be up to 5 business days before you hear from us and we will only make contact with shortlisted applicants. We really don't want to disappoint people but we are receiving a lot of enquiries at the present time and do not have the resources to reply to everyone. Shortlist: Once you submit the completed application form we will review your suitability. If it sounds like you may be a good match then we will let you know that your application has been shortlisted. At this point we may request that you submit a short video introducing yourselves and giving a virtual tour of the property, highlighting areas where your potential new family member will sleep and spend their time. Phone Call: Once we receive your video application, the animal's case manager will give you a call to discuss your application and answer any questions you may have regarding the animal's personality and needs. Meet & Greet: Now it's time to meet the animal and get to know them better. All members of the household are required to meet the animal prior to adoption. Please note, there are no guarantees that your application will proceed to adoption and we do not conduct on the spot adoptions. Consideration: After the meet and greet, you should take the next 24 - 48 hours to discuss with all members of the home if you agree the animal is the perfect match for you and if you believe you are the perfect match for them. Handover: Should the adoption be approved then we will liaise with you to find a suitable time to conduct the handover (once paperwork and payment has been processed). We understand the process may seem lengthy and we really do appreciate your time. We pride ourselves on doing everything we can to ensure that each animal in our care goes to a perfect forever home as we never want to see them be homeless again. Name* Mr.Mrs.MissMs.Dr.Prof.Rev.
