Hi I’m Dottie, a medium-sized pup with soft, floppy ears and big, bright eyes that sparkle with excitement!

I was surrendered to a local shelter after I didn’t get along with the other dog in the house and my family had to make the heartbreaking decision to give me up. Lucky for me PUR was there to get me out of the shelter and into a loving foster home.

I am always eager to be around my humans and give them lots of kisses. I am a quick learner and have already mastered a few basic cues, which makes training time lots of fun for me, especially when there are lots of treats!

Although I may seem a bit shy at first and unsure about new places, I have a wagging tail, a cheerful smile and lots of loving licks ready to greet you with. With patience and positive reinforcement, I know I’ll be able to come out of my shell and show you my full personality. I love learning new tricks and with ongoing training, I’m becoming more confident and calm every day.

My days are spent snoozing in my fluffy bed, going for walks to the park, and sniffing out my dinner in the grass or working out how to get all my yummy treats out of a kong – I’m always up for a new challenge!

I love to be near my humans, and my favourite spot to relax is in between them on the couch or close to them in my bed. I also don’t mind my alone time when my humans have to go out or to work for the day. I’m getting better at meeting other dogs and with a little patience, I’ll be a social butterfly in no time. But I would prefer to live in a house with just my humans and no other pets.
